have you guys tried a size larger main jet to see if that helps with engine temp? and what about a after market pipe.

With a single inline cooler, do you guys recommend the upper or lower radiator hose?

I run my cooler in the lower line, and have an Eddie Sander's Racing temp gauge in the upper. Either one will work.

Hey Ken....I was looking at a picture of the cooler....I think I could make one of those, is there anything special about them?? Can a guy run one in both the top and the bottom?? Have you guys tried CFM's aluminum oil tank, its supposed to hold 40% more oil....more oil, less heat, right?? Thanks guys. Brad

wow I was just thinking too.....the oil tank, if it really did hold 40% more, that would be like an extra .8 of a quart....damn near another quart in there!!!

I bought my in line cooler from pro design, and it seems to help out. I have also heared that Castrol makes a engine cooler fluid called purple ice, but don't know how it performs.

You're right Espi. I tested the Purple Ice along with the others, it did do about the same cooling job as Water Wetter, but the corrosion resistant capabilities of the Water Wetter, over a much longer test time seemed to be superior.

Bradracer, I also run the CFM tank. Had great luck with it....once I learned oil drains back into the engine after it's sat for a while. Always run it a bit, then check the oil. I'm sure people with machinist gear can spit out the inline coolers, but the trick is to make sure they're strong enough to withstand the rigors of what we put our quads through. The folks at CFM are very customer friendly, and put out some quality gear. Oh, and the tank does hold about another quart of oil.

Ken, if I were to make that on my own, you said the only downfall is that I have to make sure I can make it as durable and hold up through the strenous activities......but my question is, wouldn't regular aluminum work, I know I can make one.....I mean regular Al would be stronger than the old hose that is on there, right?? Tell me if I'm missing something here. I was also wondering if a guy could make one of those for the hose that holds oil?? If so, that would put me with 3 of them on my quad.
