Default Just a few questions

Ok I want a Polaris but not sure whitch one. I like the Sportsman, Scrambler, and the Explorer. First question can you put a plow on a Scrambler? Has anybody had any probs with the rear chain drive on the scrammy or the explorer models? about the explorer models are there any probs with them? My Cuz has a 500 Sp and he is hard as crap on the thing and it holds up (bullet proof)

You can put a plow on a scram (cycle country makes one) You willporbably end up going through more belts though due to the lack of low range, but it can be done. All 3 are totally different beasts. First off, what kind of riding do you plan on doing. Also, what will you be useing this machine for (besides plowing)

I like the Sp just because of the smooth ride and its alot more comfy for 2-person riding. The chain drives are pretty trouble free IMO. And I have seen pics of snow-plowing scramblers, but I think without a low range you wouldn't want to plow to deep of snow.

What else do you plan to do with it?

Get a sportsman 500h.o its perfect for some sport riding and trail riding you can also do muddin. The scrammbler 500h.o has a very similar engine to the sportsman 500h.o. In your case i would get a sportsman.

If you plan on riding more aggressively and fast, then the scram would be your pick. If , howeverm you want to just cruise around and ride at a more laxed pace, then the sportsman would be a better choice. The 500 scram and SP500 HO have the same bullet proof 500 HO motor

the exploder is the best of both worlds ,it"s fast and it has low range and it will out pull a lot of larger quads also offers a comfortable ride,I had a 2000 400 exploder ran the guts out of it for 4 years and it was pretty reliable ,the chain can be a bit of a pain in the a$$ some times especially when riding in rocky terrain (chain hits rock breaks)but other than that more fun than rollin boogers ,I have a 04.5 500HO now I really like this quad it works great, but sometimes I find myself missing that old green xploder. They don"t make them anymore ,but if you can get a good used one for a good price I wouldn"t be shy to grab it.
