Default Old gasoline

While I was cleaning out my garage this weekend I found 2 full 5 gallon gas cans from this October. I knew I had the cans but I thought I'd used all the fuel. Since I know fuel loses octane as the months go by my question is this: Is it ok to just add some octane booster to it or should I just get rid of it. I don't want it gumming up the carb. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

If it was me I would dump a couple of gallons in your car/ truck ever so often to get rid of the old fuel. It will mix with the newer fuel in the vehicle and your car will never know it or at least mine don't.

You could always just save it and remember when gas was cheaper. It would make a great conversation piece on the coffee table.

Oh yea! The wife would just LOVE that one! I might as well just kick her car out of the garage to park my quad in there! Hmmm, it could be worth it........

I'd just dump it, or use it in the lawn mower or something. Not worth it to me. Fresh gas always goes in my ride.

I would wait untill a foggy night drag out that collection of old tires you may have and pour the gas all over them and light it up.
Kill two birds with one stone this way and you get to have a big fire.

Do not put it in your ride, lawnmower or any other small engine. You would be asking for trouble. You could do like was stated above, add alittle at a time to car or pickup but unless you are desperate for fuel the best thing to do is get rid of it. Octane booster won't bring old fuel back to life, you would just be wasting more money.

That old gas won't gum up your carb. It may not burn so great, but it won't gum up the jets. I live in CO also, and since it is so dry here, you might be surprised how much longer gas can last. Dillute it and it will be fine to use. Put it in the mower, weed whacker, car, whatever.
