Default chrome-moly a-arms

I'm thinking about making some for my scrammy.they dont look to hard to make, anybody know the exact size steel needed?the only part i might have trouble with,is the end that the ball joint goes through.anybody know what someone like dennis from azbadboyz uses for the end?anybody that could post some close-up pics of the a-arms,id appreciate it..oh yeah, wondering about the gun drilling of the shaft, does it weaken it much?recomended for hard trail riding?thanks for any info..

I was thinking about making some new A-arms myself but no so much for light weight i was looking to get it a little wider. On the piece that the ball joint goes through i was going to cut the one off the stock A-arms and weld it on the new ones. I'm not sure about the gun drilling of the shaft but i would think that you wouldnt lose too much strength but i have no experience in that area.
