Default SP700 Dynojet question

Installed the dynojet stage 1 kit on my 700. Followed directions. Stock pipe, airbox snorkle is cut back a little, K&N filter. I am at about 1100 feet.

Found reinstalling the new needle with the spacer in slot 3, per directions a challenge, but after several attempts I got it. Adjusted the air screw per the directions out 1.5 turns.

Now the problem....

Idle is great +/- 1200 rpm
Just crack the throttle alls well.
WOT is great.

3200 RPM the motor starts surging -400 rpm.
3100 no surge is noticable.

Any and all ideas are apprieciated.

Default SP700 Dynojet question

I am sure somebody knows exactly what my problem is here.
Tonight I tried moving the needle. The directions call for groove 3. I tried groove 4 and groove 2....still surges around 3300. I double checked the air mixture screw and it is 1.5 turns out.

Pulling the choke at all will make it quit. WOT is awesome. I closed off the intake on the airbox about 75% and that made it quit.

I am out of ideas.

It is to lean at that RPM. Try turning out the idle jet screw about 1 full turn. If that doesn't do the trick you may have to change the throttle valve to a smaller size to decrease air flow at that RPM.
