I know that it CAN do a wheelie, yet I have never tried. My buddies Magnum 500 will do them so the H.O. has to. Sorry I can't help with the technique.

I have ridden a friends 700 and that thing wheelies like a dream....just stand on the pegs and give it a nice tug as soon as the clutch engages....Then you can go forever.

Nope, not unless you weigh 400 lbs or are hitting a lip going uphill handelbarred in low range. (400lbs of pull to get it back) dead stop in h-range nah.

Forget it. My buds keeping his 600 twin here. The only way that thing is wheelie bound is if it falls off the back of the truck *** first.

don't get me wrong, I think your making the only logical choice in that catagory but If wheelies is what ya want the Scrambler may be right for you. wait untill the 05. Looks like its getting a "Extreme Makeover"

I have a 2003 Sportsman 500 H.O. and it will do wheelies all day! My technique is to put it in lo range, hold the brake, and slightly rev the motor until the front wheels are about to slide, give it full throttle and release the brake at the same time, then hold on. It works every time. Good luck!!

Don't know what to say....my buddy can pull his magnum up from a dead stop on flat ground. I believe he had 1 knee or maybe both knees on the seat, but I have also seen him pull it up standing on the pegs, but that was up a slight incline (from a dead stop though). Not sure if he was in high or low range.

I can pull up the SP 700 in high range standing on the pegs and I only way 160. Comes up easy.
