on my bike i used to have answer bark busters (just the single strip of aluminum) and i attached a set of maier plastic guards on to the bars. They looked good and protected my hands but i decided i didn't like the look of them.

I have Maier handguards on my Ozark. They nice, kinda squad though. They really help with the wind. We just ordered PowerMadd for the Z400 and 400ex.

Got the Polaris ones on mine. I dont like the mounting system that they had for the right gaurd. Kinda modified it and it is a lot stronger now. Helps a lot when it is colder out, and helps to keep the brush and mud away from my hands

Have the Polaris brand on the wifes Blazer. A little on the big side, but still like them. Acerbis makes a pair I'd like to get for mine. BigBad, how did you modify your guard?

I thought about getting some for my scrammy, but I really don't like the looks of them...I just stick with my gloves and I'm good...I figured the money I saved from guards I could invest in something else thats more important.

They had one of those clips that you put a screw through and they figured that would hold it tight. NOPE! I put a nut and bolt through insted. I forgot what else I did to it. But it was pretty much changing the hardware out to stuff that makes it more secure

For moderate branches, the Pure Polaris units and Powermadds work great. For bouncing off trees, the Cycra's can't be beat. All of them really help in the cold weather, as well as mud/rock protection.
