Default Overheating still!!

Why does my 03 700 keep boiling coolant and shooting it out the top of the reservoir bottle. I go through all the mud first and then when i trail ride, it happens. Sad thing is that my temp light never comes on. I think the dealership disconnected it the last time I brought it in for overheating.

Also, should i get aftermarket stuff. Looking at a heelclicker (worth it?) and maybe some 27" outlaws. I love mud and i'm always the first to go through the unknown stuff. Kinda lonely on the other side though staring at my Hondon't friends.

Also, we just opened up a new ATV riding area in Alabama near Andalusia. It's gonna be awesome fellas. Had a private ride this weekend and it's only gonna get better.

sounds to me that your fan is not working. This is a common thing for the 700's

Fan works just fine. Sometimes I think it comes on too early. I just want to know why this bike overheats sooooo much. I love to kill the mudholes and i outride my friends that have aftermarket tires like 589s and mudbugs. It's just that i always overheat and have to hear about it......from the other side of the mudhole of course!

sounds to me like after you are going through the mud you are getting your radiator pluged with mud...after this it can not cool properly....try staying out of the mud and see if it happens...or clean out your radiator fully and see what happens....

I believe that I would lean toward the radiator being plugged with mud. It may look clean on front but the mud goes all the way through the fins and not just in the middle. It takes me a good 15 minutes with a power washer to get the water to run clear out of mine after a good session. Try a light behind rad and should see through easily.

You might wanna make sure your water pump is working also. Check to make sure it is. Do you notice any antifreeze leakage near the water pump weep hole at all?

Pump works fine. No leaks, just had the seal replaced. It's probably mud in the radiator but i still never get the Temp light to ever come on. This is the only thing that pisses me off about this bike. I ride with a Grizz and Rincons and other Hondon'ts and I smoke them in everything we do so when this happens, they REALLY give it to me!! It's funny.

Thinking of a heelclicker and 27" tires. Anybody got any suggestions? I also need the carb update done and a new filter.

03700,
I can't comment on the Heelclicker, but I can tell you the Folks at Dalton pro will set you up just fine. My 04 700 has there BW clutch kit on it, it is actually designed to give close to stock acceleration with over size tires and better back shift and belt grip. I have the stock Rawhides, so the acceleration is really felt, big improvment. My Friends 04 660 would always get the hole shot and I wouldn't catch him until we were almost at the end of a 150 ft run. With this kit, we pull out almost even and I quickly get in front and stay. Now granted I'm not in front by far but at least I get out there with the kit. Now if I can find an answer to the rev limiter I would be really satisfied.
Hope this helps.
