oil uinjection

Default oil uinjection

hey guys! i have a question.i have a 2001 scrammy 400 2 stroke.i have a problem with plug fouling.is there a way i can adjust the oil intake so i dont foul so bad riding slower through the woods? any help would be greatly appreciated!

are you sure it's your injector or just rich jetting? there is a setting for the injector but i would make sure the jetting is correct first. more info is needed.

i havent checked the jetting but i know its still stock.there has never been anything done to it.

As stumpjumper said, be sure your jetting is correct. As far as oil goes, if you're not using synthetic oil, switch to that first. Although I've never touched the injector pump on any of my quads ('93, '95 and '98) it is possible that your's is not fully returning to it's idle/low speed position either due just to dirt or a broken or fatigued (shouldn't be that on an '01) return spring. I've seen this happen on sleds. Get a service manual so you can familiarize yourself with the pump and it's adjustment. I have also experienced, with sleds, a particular motor that just doesn't like NGKs and a simple switch of plug brand solved fouling problems. That's a cheap thing to try.

Almost all bikes come from the factory jetted too rich check your jetting first.
