Default axle bearing help

hi guys,my bearings and seals came in today for my scrammy.i put it all together and there is about 1/2 inch of side to side play,i dont know what i did wrong.ive done the bearings before on the stock axle and didnt have this problem.the only thing i might have done worng is put the seals in backwards?are the seals suppose to be tight against the bearing?i can take the bearing itself and move it some between the race and the seal,is that the problem?i tried hitting the seal in further but it wouldnt go anymore..please help..

Make sure to get plenty of grease into that bearing carrier. I normally pack it full, then keep pumping grease in with the axle in place, but not quite fully installed.
