even if they were, would you really want to?

i have heard nothing but bad news about those things,,, better off to throw them away and buy a pair of fox shocks. its the only way to be sure.

DG,

I had the same problem, check the nuts a the top of the shock struts. My left one came loose and caused the knocking noise you could be hearing.

DG,

ATV's require a lot of going over, always check all of your nuts and bolts. They come loose from the wear from the trail. If you get a nut that keeps coming loose a lot, replace it with a nylon locking nut. But always go over these fasteners. ATV's are real similar to a stock car, they have tube frames, a frames, coil springs and an engine that requires attention too.

ok there is also a plastic bushing right were the rod connects to the upper shock mount and somtimes these will crack and then there will be play...the bolt on top can be tight and there will still be play if this bushing is worn or cracked....just a thought...

well, heres what i know, because i didnt really have time to go over it today. Is the plastic bushing you talked about supposed to be able to spin freely, or should it be tight? just checking with my hand, not wrenchs or anything, i felt the nut on the top, it seemed tight. But i did notice that that bushing was loose and spun around, should it be able to spin? later on tonight i am going to go out and check it over with detail. thanks to people that have helped me this far

yes i belive it should be tight....rotate it and see if there is any cracks anywhere...and does it rotate on both sides??? but the bushing could be just plain worn out....now i had this happen on my '92 350L and had to replace the bushing cus it broke but I dont think that i ever took the plastic off to do it, i just lifted the fender enought to loosen the nut...I remember just swinging the strut out after i got the nut loose and put in the new bushing that way but it is best to take the plastic off but that isnt always easy either...
