Just received a Yeller 500 HO with all the new trick stuff! I just might keep her for myself it looks so neat. Can even live with the head light pod cause it comes assembled and is succured better than the old models. But guess what gents?
I finally heard a bonified rumor on the 700 so I guess I stand corrected. No details on it but the 500 HO lives for sure!

Have you rode yet?

I'm just wondering what the power difference is.

I read about a guy who put the Scambler cam,and 40mm (jetted) carb and lighter cluch weights on his SP motor himself and he said his bud's 400 Xplorer used to leave him behind and now it's the other way around. It does sound like the H.O 499 is 20% more powerful as polaris claims.

You have tried it ,that is what the HIGH OUTPUT 499 is. In 98 Polaris put a high duration cam,40mm carb and lighter clutch weights on the 500 Scambler which is a 20% hp increase and for some stupid reason left out the Sportsman. Now Polaris came to the reasoning of letting the SP in on the glory also.
