How hot do 4 wheeler exhaust pipe's get, I'm thinking about painting mine I have Heat resitent paint up to 492 degrees celesus, This this work?

I don't think any paint that you can get over the counter will work right at the head.The 2 strokes see about 1200 degrees a couple inches into the pipe.I'm not sure what the four strokes get to.I tried the bar-b-q high temp paint on mine and right at the head it just bubbled up.The rest of the pipe was ok.

go to autozone!! i bought high heat paint up to 1200 degrees in aluminum finish and it looks really sick on my pipe!! it cost me about $5 for a whole can and put like 3 or 4 layers on my pipe
