Default What the hell

ok i just bought my new 500 ho and it had too much oil in it

i took it there for the 100 mile service everything is ok with it and again when they filled the oil it was way too much.

i know all the guys that work there and they are all very good at this stuff i was wonderin if any of your machinics fill your machines with too much oil past the normal range

I do my own services. The system holds 2 quarts and that is exactly how much I put in there. Kinda makes you wonder if they are not draining the crankcase and then adding the 2 quarts?

yea it does kinda make you wonder but then again how was it high then i just got it off the floor. i helped put this machine together and then left it it was never started they put in the oil and i filled it with gas and started it myslef for the 1st time and drove it on my truck. why would it be high cuz i know john wouldnt put nor then the book says to. im lost

Im not sure. If they only put 2 qts in, then there is no reason why it wouold be high. Just doesnt make sense

I have an 04.5 600 and mine always is high too. I did the first oil change myself and it reads the same on the dipstick, but if you look very closely you will notice that the level is at an angle on the stick and dry right up to the top of the range. Lousy design if you ask me, that you should have to look that hard.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]
