Default changing cv boot

hit enter instead of tab. anyway.....changing cv boot. i have a 2004 scrambler 4x4. i got hung up on a mangled stump and ripped up my cv boot. i'm trying to figure out if i should try to fix it myself ( i have little time and not much know how) or take it to dealer. 1. if i try to do it myself, does anyone know how big a pain it is, if i need any special tools, and about how long it may take? (again i say, i have little know how). 2. if i took it to the dealer, about how much would it cost? thanks

Oh, there it is. I have change a CV boot on my buddies 2000 Scrambler 500. It wasn't that hard at all. You might need a boot clamp tool. We rent a boot clamp tool at AutoZone. If you take it to a dealer, it will not cost you that much for the part, but it might cost a lot for labor.

We carry a boot that does not need a special tool for the band. It includes one that works with a standard ratchet.

You can see it here: http://www.atvworks.com/products.asp?id=18
