Well I am assuming you use premium gas to start with and I am not sure if u will get to 100 by using that stuff but i use klotz and it gets me a few more not to 100 though. I used to used air plane fuel and put octane booster in it and it got me over 100. You could also but any racing fuel....like VP.

 

ya i use 93. i was just wondering if it will because i dont wanna drive an hour to get 110 octane at a race track i no of.

 

Just wondering if you acctually need over 93.

What kind of compression are you running.

You don't Need race gas until you get over the 11-1 ratio's which is about 160 or higher psi of compression.

9:1 - regular 86/87
11:1 - premium 93/95
12:1 - racing 104/110
13:1 and up - racing 114+

octane booster i use this in both my harley's and it is way better than any store bought booster.

 

what is the ratio of a stock 400 Scrambler, becuse i use regualar 87, should i be using premium 93?

 

i been doing compression tests and theyre reading 126-130 everytime. i been getting terrible pinging noises at full throttle and coming down to a idle so rick and bubba suggested using race gas.

my dad keeps telling me the 93 i put in it is sh*t because we buy it from this weird gas station. he keeps telling me to go to sunoco and buy 94 so i will drain my tank and try the sunoco 94 in a few days

 

Anyone know if you can use Aviation fuel for race mod applications? I've heard that it has additives not good for quad motors. I know it's quite a bit cheaper than race fuel. Thanks.
