hey any of you guys that have 04s or 04.5 model 500HOs how fast will you get them going ive been having tranny problems so i was just wondering.

 

what kind of tranny problems are you having?the machines top speed is in the low 60's i think..

 

55MPH no more, with 5lbs of air in the tires, no transmission problems....

 

well for the tranny problems i would end up toping out at the low 40s and i took it apart to find out that my secondary clutch was borken took that to the dealer got another one of no cost and then i found out my white limiter nut was way loose so i adjusted that as tight as i could get it now the atv creeps so i took it to the dealer and they adjusted something with the shims and i swear it used to do 60 no i can hardly do 55 it kinda feels like its loosing some power. i dont know what to do there has already been belt replacements but 55 is good enough just seems like it could do more

another question, could that white limiter nut be taken out without hurting anything? my dealer told me to keep it in.
