Rick told me he takes his vacation every year around the first of Aug. Now if he reads this, he'll know that he can have a free saturday to go a play for awhile. I'll even let him drive our trail modded scrammy or my quadracer, his pick.

I'll let him ride "Bubba" if he wants. I flipped "Bubba" and broke the tach off. Quite the experience. He really comes on hard. Hooked up great about the time I hit a hump in my yard. No real damage some some hurt pride.

Pennyless glad to hear "Bubba" is alive and well. I enjoyed the vid that you put up of Bubba. What brand and model of tach were you using on Bubba ? I want to get one for clutch tuning and don't want to buy something I can't use.

Beltdrive, you can use any cheap sweep style tach. put it on the 4-cyl setting and hook it up. (4 cylinders for 4 cycles = 1 cylinder per cycle, just like your 2-stroke) Red wire to ignition on, black to ground, white to headlight wire on, and green goes to the yellow with red stripe. Works like a champ, just mount wherever you want.

Hey Beltdrive, I'm sorry. Maybe I didnt make myself clear enough. That would be for the 2-stroke. I was only giving the reason why it works, and it only works on the 2-cycles. You have to get a tach specifically for the 4-strokes.
