Default good deal?

Hi,
I think these kind of questions may belong in "buying" category, and I did ask it there in a longer thread of mine, but I am looking for some feedback specifically from Polaris folks. I have come across a deal today and would like to know if it is reasonable or not:

2003 Polaris Trail Boss 330 2x4
2003 Polaris Predator 90
Hauler/trailer with ramp gate just big enough for the 2 inline.

seller is asking $5500 for the whole pile.
(3k for 330, 2k for 90, and 500 for trailer)
The bikes are clean, stock, and very little use. (they tell me) the 330 has only about 15 hours and the 90
only has a couple of yard hours. They have mostly sat in the garage for the last year. I will admit they do look
very clean, especially the 90. it doesnt seem to have even a scuff...

Is this a good deal? mediocre deal? If it is too high what would be a good offer price?
I am looking for a bike to pull a swisher 60" pull behind mower on a fairly flat florida yard, and do a little trail riding in the
wetlands behind my property.

Thanks,
fsumarc

Well, I would say NO. For a couple hundred more on each quad you could get new ones (2004) with a warranty. The trailer without seeing it I'd say no also, you probally find a used one for the same price. I take it these are a year or two old. You can do better. Just my opinion.

Man i would just go buy brand spanking new ones...a lil bit more money but you get warranty and don't have to worry about the "possible" problems that come with used...my 2 cents...

I would need to know how old, but if they are a year or two old I would say mid 2000 on the trailboss and mid teens on the 90, trailer 500.00 doesn't sound bad if it is in good shape and needs no work.

Thanks! They are both 2003's look almost brand new. the 90 doesnt have a scuff, the trailboss is VERY clean. not a spec of dust or grease on the motor. few cosmetic scuffs on the plastic. I talked to the seller again and he is now offering to sell to me for $2800 for the TB330, $1800 for the 90 pred, and $400 for the trailer. $5000 total. Sounds better than the original $5500 he asked. Was hoping to get him down to $4500 - $4800 but don't think he is going to budge.... Is $5k a "good deal" or just "at value"?

Went to the local multi dealer (Yam, Hon, Kaw, Suz) and they showed me a 2004 Kawa Kodiak 400 4x4 that was untitled but was used for a demo on a rabbit run. It appears to have been rolled over by the cracked plastic and front and back racks bent plus seems to be a bit loose in the handlebars. (a few inches of slack play back and forth) They tell me they will get back to me with a price. they call me 3 hours later and tell me $5000.. I laughed.... hard.... seemed a bit excessive for a wrecked bike.... anyway...

Whatcha think?

Thanks for the offer tbsleeper, but the trailblazer is a sport bike isnt it? I an in need of a utility bike to pull a mower and do some trail riding. Are you saying the 03 Trail Boss 330 for $2800 is too high?

Yea, 5000.00 sounds better, at that point it's probally a value not a great deal. I'd try and get him under 5000.00.
