OK i give in i just love the new rubicons and my sp500. But i am getting sick of the same old thing i drive. So i want a new Rubicon. Right now the dealer has a green one and if i get there before lovinhonda i hope it will be mine. BUt i need to know how much my sp500 is worth. IT is a 2000 polaris sportsman 500 with EBS. It has 1200 miles on it. it is a really good bike, it will come with the things listed in my signature. Please reply and tell me how much i can get for my sp500. Would it be best to trade it in. If i trade the most i would pay is $1000. But i really think it is worth about $6400. So please tell me the hosest truth. and i dont wont to hear anything about Polaris Guy getting a honda. I am still a die hard polaris fan.

It is in mint condition. It has only been flipped once and that was in a field. The only strached that are on it is on the headlight pod. and i will buy a new one for like 35$. So if it is worth 6605 stock, that with a snow plow and mounting kit, and MUD camo shock covers, That puts me between 6400-6700. I will give them the benifit of the doubt. But if i traded it in how much would they give me. I could have about 700$. After i sold all of my AKC registered lab pups. So with the ATV trade in for apoxx. 6000+?????? i could have 6700 and maybe my parents could help me out a couple of hunderd. SO please help me fast

Polaris(Hondu)Man: I think it would more realalistic to think that the Hondu dealers would give you 4500-5000 for your used machine unless they want your Polaris more than thier Hondu. They dont want to sell two machines for the price of one. You can get a new Polaris 500 for around 6300 so why would a Hondu dealer give you that for a used one? By the way,no offence, how can a ATV be flipped and be in "mint" condition?

You will not get a good trade in. If you can sell the quad your self.

Go to www.traderonline.com and check the motorcycle area. Do a search on sportsman & it will tell you what people are trying to sell them for around the country. You can narrow the search down by putting in a geographical region.

you would be lucky to get mid 5 grand for it on a trade. possibly as low as the high 4 grand range. I can buy a brand new 2000 right now for 5999.00 plus tax. The retail is not trade in, retail is what you would pay for it at a dealer not what they will give you for it on a trade.

OK i am not going to trade it in. The reason it is mint condition is that when i flipped in it was in a field. Ya know with grass. So it has very few straches. So should i run an ad for $6300? That is what i really want but i think i could do for about 6000

Just because you flipped your quad in a grassy field, does not make it in mint condition. When a 650+ quad flips over, something is going to get bent. Handle bars, steering stem, etc. tend to get bent when a bike is flipped. As long as there is terra firma under the grass, something is likely to bend. Scratches are only surface evidence of a bike being flipped. If you try to take it to a dealer and they have any clue, their mechanic will inspect it for bent parts. I realize you paid quite a bit for your atv and plow, but remember, you lost a lot of value when it left the dealer. Its called DEPRECIATION. You would be better off selling it outright and keep that rolled in a grassy field story to yourself.
