Default is there a way of removing links?

is there a way of removing links on ur chain without using a link breaker???

Grind the end of the pin off and use a punch to knock it out

If you don't have a punch, you can grind the point of a nail off and then lock the nail in a pair of vise grips. Position the nail over the pin and drive the pin out that way. I've had to do that more times than I care to. Make sure you grind the head of the pin off completely or you'll be beating it with that hammer for a long time.

I hit a rock doing about 30, but I wouldn't try that method if I were you.

TB, be careful and measure real good. You will end up having to take at least a full link and a half to get the master link to fit again, and that's a bunch. It doesnt seem like it would make much of a difference, but you can find yourself coming up real short in a hurry.

might be the easiest way scooter. also do u think it would be smart to remove the sprocket gaurd?? how easy do the chains break?
