Sunk her today... deep water ...was about 5-6 feet deep after I got off I went all the way under trying to get my winch to freespool. Hooked her to a tree (I was by myself) and drug her out. Drained the airbox, belt, pulled plugs and cranked her a few times... Walked to my truck and winched her on the trailer.. Got home drained the oil (well mostly water).. filled her up she cranked right up..
Anything else I should do that you guys know of or recommend this is the first time I have ever sank a quad..

Change ALL of your fluids (trans and front diff too). You may have to do it a few times to get all the water out. You may also have to drain your gas if you got any water in their too. And make sure your air filter is OK.

Given that you had a crankcase full of water I think I'd probably change the oil again really soon. Will probably take a few changes to completly flush out the offending water. I would probably also change the oils in the front and rear differentials and the transmission. Oil is cheap- engines, diff's and tranny's are not! Other then that I'd check all the drain tubes and vent tubes for water and drain them if you find any. After doing all that I think you'll be fine!

Thanks for the help guys.. I figured Id change my oil again after an hour or so of riding.. Then again after about 3-4 hours..
Well here is my other problem.. My polaris dealer is out of town for like two weeks and his shop is closed what kinda fluids can I put in my diffs and transmission and I have not got the polaris motor oil called for either. I am a GM technician so I have plenty of leftover fluids at work I can use .. any ideas.. and is polaris the only place you can get an oil filter?

I don't know if the specs have changed since 2002 but on mine the rear diff takes 80W-90 but the transmission and front differential require special Polaris oils. The transmission takes what they call "Polaris Premium Synthetic Gear Case Lubricant", it is purple in color and roughly the viscosity of ATF but I am not sure if ATF could be used as a substitute. The front differential takes "Premium Demand Drive Hub Fluid", it is VERY thin oil and is almost clear with a slightly yellow hint. I have no idea what you could use in place of this stuff. As for engine oil I have found that Mobil 1 sells a 0W-40 oil. They market it for "European Vehicles". It is kind of hard to find. The 0W-30 is easy to find but not the 0W-40. Murray's Auto Parts here in Michigan sells it though.

If the 700 takes the same Demand Drive hub fluid that the other models use in the hubs, then you can use ATF Type F. I have found Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF to work best though. And, if the 700 uses the same trans oil as the rest of the models, then Amsoil Series 2000 Chaincase lube will work
