Like fourlix already mentioned before, they needed to address the very overweight SP400 and Magnum 330. I wondering how fast do you think the 800 is going to be since it weighs a whopping 765lbs! I don't see how the SP800EFI is going to much faster than the SP700EFI because of the weight. The 04.5 SP700EFI weighed in at 720lbs, which is a lot lighter than 765lbs.
People - the dual exhaust is a marketing ploy; if the cylinders fire 180 degrees apart like the Sp600/700, the dual exhaust will give you nothing (other than extra weight, which it sure didn't need).

I do like the new Pred, though - it would be my first choice in a fast sport/trail quad

I think the Pred will be on a lot more peoples radar now that it has reverse. It sure bumped up onto my short list now with the new improvements. Any idea of pricing? With all the new and improved models out this year from just about all the manufacturers, this will be a good year.

Call it a huntch or maybe wishful thinking but I don't think Polaris is done yet. We've heard to much hype. This can't be it. The Trail Boss, Trail Blazer and the Scrambler all have one model. When you click on the name the Polaris website goes directly to the model page. When you click on Pheonix a menu drops down and says Pheonix 200 next to a bullet as if there would be more than one model. Could there be a larger Pheonix lurking in the backround? Maybe a 700cc? Like I said it may just be wishful thinking but???????

I think thats it. All the hype and thats it. Did nothing to the scrammy. Unreal................
I'm glad I wasted a summer of riding waiting for that scrammy with low gear. Now I get to pay $100 more and it will have the same graphics as my trailblazer. What a joke.

Predator is the best update. Adding reverse to a quad already into production is huge. Has that ever been done?
Polaris has caught my eye with that quad.

Why are 2 different trannys used though. I'd think production costs would be lower with 1 choice.
