Looking at getting a new 05 Predator, Will the new improvements on the 05 pred (TLD) be faster from bottom to top end on the 04 pred, and maybe the rapptor, z400 , and the ds 650, what is your opinion on this topic , and why it will win or lose to these other Sport quads!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will it be able to compete with these other mentioned sport trail quads......... It already can compete with those sport quads. Hopefully it will keep up better with the real sport quads, like the yfz450 and the trx450. The 05, will give you a lot more than the 04. Plus you will get a lot more from an 05tld pred than you would from any of the mentioned quads, and for less money.

 

I agree you get more but not for less money:

DS650 $5999
Raptor $6199
Z400 $5699
Predator $6199 and $6499

Of course these are list prices.

but if u add what the pred has it adds up very quickly and is well worth it.... i noticed u didnt mention the price of the yfz or trx....?

 

that's all locally related though. The dealer here sells that Z400/KFX400 for $5200.00.

Shop around, I doubt the Predator will pull the same price as a 450YFZ/450R at $6499. Predator is a nice quad but not worth more than $5999. Even the TLD edition. Remember the resale on a Polaris is horrible. Nice quad, but something to consider.

Not true, check for yourself. Polaris does VERY good in the Blue Book compared to the others (usally better).

 

Trust me. I tried to trade off my Polaris in at the local dealers. KBB might say one thing, the real world says another. It's like that stigma just won't leave Polaris. No-one wanted to touch it.

 

I have alway wounder why the dealers do that? I know my dealer gets a trailBlazer in used it is sold in two weeks an when you look in there used atv's there few to no Polaris therebut as you said the dealer don't what to give you much for them or don't want them I have heared the same thing.
