Lack of Aftermarket parts for Predator.

I'm running Intermediate out here in Central California. It is hard to find stuff, but if you just keep on looking you can find a lot of companies that will help you out. I'm running with Lonestar axle from Denton Racing, Eyeball Engineering hooked me up with a special set of A-Arms that they made for me. TCS set up a set of Front Shocks, I changed hubs so I can interchange tires and I'm running Beadlocks.
So there is stuff out there if you look around - Good luck-

Well for number one, I personally haven't heard of this company, but that doesn't mean much either. I would first make sure they are a high quality producer. Next the bore which you mentioned, seems a little big to me. Most people are going with sizes like 558(or in that area), You wouldn't have much left if you went with an engine sized that largely. Notice that it also says for that size that you have to be a serious engine builder to even build it, because it doesn't come with all of the parts. Also notice that they have Doug Nicholas's pred on their page.....so my question for you is: Why not just go with what seems to be working and winning, and call up Doug, and ask for his Stage 3 kit, if you want some power. I think his stage 3 kit will run you about 3k, and it is done very professionally, and will give you power enough to be considered a high competitor. Call him up and talk to him for a while, if anything else, he will give you info on this motor you are asking about. His number and info about motors is on his site. Nicholas Cycle

Falicon is the a very highly reputable , experienced company that specializes in motorcycle crankshafts . I have used them to do street bike crank repairs . They are the best in the business at what they do .

>>they are able to accomplish those cc numbers by stroking the crank. Its not all bore
Correct. The bore/stroke ratio is real important. If you have a ratio beyond 1.50-1.55, you may be getting additional displacement, but not much power gain. The best results come from changing both the bore and stroke (among other things).
I know Doug Nicholas and he really knows his stuff. I'd go to him for advice.
BTW, the Falicon stuff is full-blown race grade stuff. It's not designed for trail riding. Again, ask Doug for his opinion.
Disclaimer: I'm Falicon's webmaster.
