When I built the workshop/office block I was left with a large hole excavated at the side where the digger had been standing to dig the foundations of the front wall so rather than having to find something to fill it up I built an underground tank room for my oil tanks, there's two 850 gal tanks for my road fuel and heating oil and one 300 gal tank for the agricultural fuel but I didn't want it right up next to the workshop so I built an underground 5' X 7' dog kennel in between, stays nice and cool in the summer and it also gives access to the tank room through a hatch.

Just added another picture that shows the filler pipes let into slots in the wall, one for road fuel and one for the agricultural fuel. You can't see it on the photo but right next to them there's three slots with clear plastic level pipes let into them for the three tanks, there are small fishing floats in the pipes to indicate how much fuel is left.
