Run flat tires....
#1
Got my first flat yesterday.....not good.....middle of friken nowhere....all alone.....thankfully i had the electric pump and it would stay ridable for about 4 minutes at a time.....only took an extra 2 hours to get back to our camp.....
Now I have already been thinking of new Mud lites or another 6 ply tire but saw that the polaris milatary vehicle has run flats! How heavy are these tires? Are they super expensive? Seems like the way to go for me as I'm often alone in very rocky rough Canadian sheild territory and more often than not I'm a long walk from anywhere!
Any ideas/comments....any one ever try to fix a flat on the trail? Dont want to use that sealant as it seems like a hassle to clean after when tring to repair!

I ride in South Texas and Mexico where everything either sticks stings or bites. I get lots of thorns in my tires. I run Green Slime in my tires and that takes care of all but the worst ones. I keep a tire plug kit with me if I get something that the Slime doesn't seal.
