drive belt tension,adjustment????
#1
I realized that I have too much play in my drive belt. How do I tighten this up? I've heard lossening the motor mounts and moving the motor forward. I've also heard to add/remove shims. Has anybody had to do this? Any help is always apreciated, I want to ride this weekend and would feel alot better if this was fixed.

Remember that the belt should ride about an 1/8" on top of the secondary.

Also remember that the tension is checked by lightly pushing down on the belt. If you push down fairly strong then you might be over doing it. Like CED told you, the belt should ride above the secondary clutch just a bit.
