Default Performace Head for a 400

Does any one know if I can make a Hot Seat head fit my 99 400 with the 440 Big Bore kit.

I noticed that both AAEN and HPD sell a different head kit for the big bore engines.
I can get a Hot Seat head with 12:1 compression cheep and I am wondering if it will work or what it will take to make it work?
Basically what is the difference. With the big bore kit the increase cylinder size from 83mm to 87mm.
I am gussing there are some clearance issues?

They don't

There is just not enough power to pull them all

If you think about it most machines can acctually use a 10 paddle and are better suited with 8 paddles.
I was trying 8 paddles on all 4 wheels.
It added more weight, and was not worth it.
The Skat Trac Hauler 22/11/10 is the best paddle on the market (IMPO)

Hey Beltdrive. I have a friend that has the exact same bike as yours and he put some dune hoppers on the rear and sand geckos on the front and and he can climb anything. I was really skeptical that that the geckos would even fit on the front much less pull ok but he proved me wrong.

Thanks for the info Duneaholic. I haven't made it to Silver Lake this summer and probably won't till next year. I had money saved for a 5 x 14 trailer to haul the quads but last week had a problem with the wife's car. That took most of my trailer money.

If you have the big bore then you need the big bore dome. It's not a compression issue, but a clearance issue. I think the problem is where the squish band ends on the smaller bore domes and could contact the piston crown. By the way, how's my old oil injection setup working?

No problem. I hear you on the saving money part. Everytime I get a little saved something happens and there she goes. Boy kids are expensive.

Thanks Bubba
I figured it was a clearance issue
I was wondering if there was somethng I could do (Machine some material or something)

As for the Oil injection, I never installed it. (LAZY) I have been pre-mixing
Now I have it on the shelf,WIth all the other spare parts, I also never throw anything away (PACK RAT)
