2001 Sportsman 500 HO - RSE vs. DU Editions
#1
I'd looking to purchase a 2001 Sportsman 500HO in either the RSE or DU versions. I looked at a DU model yesterday and noticed that the camoflage appeared to be "painted" on. I have seen RSE's in the past and my recollection is that the camo on them was not painted on but rather was a textured cloth-like laminated applied over the plastic.
My questions are as follows:
1) Is there indeed a difference in the camo between these two models (other than just the color)?
2) If so, is either more durable than the other? Does the camo peel/flake off? Does it make it more difficult to clean the plastic? Is there anything else I should be aware of about the camoflage?
I greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks! : )

The application of the camoflauge will alter the shape of the plastic body panels slightly due to the heat invoved in the process. Don't expect the pods and plastics to fit together as well as a regular machine without camoflauge, that's all.

I guess I can take back that comment I made to you about shopping around for better prices now that I know where Marion is. I don't think a 4 hour drive would be worth it. I was over in your neck of the woods this weekend at the USA truck terminal in West Memphis for a driver appreciation week thing. Pretty fun weekend, but the drive on beat up I-40 was not something to look forward to.
