Default Predator?

I currently have a 1997 Honda 300EX that is modded out and a 2000 Yamaha Warrior that is modded out. I am thinking about buying an '04 Predator. I just want to know the good and the bads about it. Does it have a lot of power? Wheelie good? Good for trails? Some MX and jumping? I dont care about reverse because if you are that lazy to not be able to get off of your quad and pull it then you shouldnt be riding. Plus I never used reverse on my 300EX or Warrior yet.

What do you think would be better, a Z400 or a PRedator? I am leaning more towards and 04 Predator.

Are there any problems for the 04 Predators from the factory or did they fix all of the problems in 03/

Just let me know the pros/cons of a Predator and let me know if you would take an 04 Z400 or an 04 Predator and why.

What kind of Predator do you think I should get? I really like the Troy Lee but Im afraid the black plastics will get really scratched on the trails and then look like crap, what do you think?

By the way, both of my quads are for sale if anyone is interested. They are both like new well taken care of and low hours!

Coming off your Warrior, the preddy will be a good fit.

Power wise they're great, rev fast for a 4 stroke, and will put a severe spanking on a Z400. No contest.

I've rode my black 03 troy lee hard for several years now, and the black plastic is holding up fine and doesn't show the scratches "that" bad........looks way sharper than the grey battleship plastic by far.

My friend owns a 2004 Suzuki Z400 and a Yamaha Banshee and he says there both great quads. But he's also thinking of buying a 2005 Polaris Predator. He's done some research and says the Predator will smoke a Z400 in racing. He wants even more speed that he has now and he thinks this is a great way to get it. I'd go with the Predator, mostly because I already own one. I think it handles great, looks awesome, and you can learn tricks on it fairly easy. Still trying wheelies, but i'm getting it.

And I think the grey look looks better than the black. I just don't like how the black looks. You should look at the new 2004 Troy Lee Edition Pred. It looks cool, but so does the 500. All cool paint jobs this year.

Honestly it depends more on what your looking for than anything. If you want motor then I say go with the Pred. But if you want plush suspension, go with the Z400. I think they're both great quads, I just think that the suspension on the Z is alot plusher for bashing through the rocky trails around here. And the Pred is heavier, although you don't feel it while riding. Just when your having to heave it around. I like my Pred, and I've just about got it how I want it, but looking back now I think I would've been happier with the Z.

I've got a Z400 and a Predator. I like them both - the Z for comfort, the Pred for everything else. If I was in the market to purchase in the next few months, I'd get the 2005 Pred for sure.
