I wasn't sure how safe it would be to drill some holes in them either so I thought
maybe somebody might have done this and could say yes or no.
I'm thinking about using an electric carving knife on my seat foam. Anybody have any ideas
on what would give a nice clean cut on a big piece of foam?

The electric carving knife is what the pros like to use. Might be worthwhile going down to an upholstry shop and seeing what types of foams they have. I have a feeling that if you start cutting into the stock foan that your seat will feel like a Yamaha seat. Might be better off getting a thinner, better cushioned foam

There is some company that cuts rims for drag racing, they have a web site but I cant remember what it is. I would be afraid to use them for anything other than drag racing.

1: Sure you can cut your seat so fit your butt. Just save it for down the road if you want to change it and put it back on. Gop works well, to glue it back.
2: No-way never drill the rims, just buy a lighter tire than you will save pounds. Drilling a rim only will make it weak, and you will not even save 3-oz. Be safe not cheap, its your life.

Yeah, I agree on the rims. I would never think of doing that for any reason, even strictly drag racing. Talonhawk, I have some words for you. Aluminum, chromemoly, and titanium, but they all have nice price tags on them

Oh well!! It was just a thought but I had to ask. Money really was not an issue, I mean
considering all the money that I've put into this thing anyway, so I guess that a new set
of wheels are in my future

Thanks for the replies!
