400 sport in the dunes.

hey i have a 400 sport..you can see what its like and what it has on it in my sig., i have 2 option: 1) sell this quad to a friend and buy a predator 2) keep this and mod it out because i know nicholas cycle can make it really fast. The only downside to number 2 is the maintenance, i mean after my last ride i noticed i was missing a l/f bushing, and im constantly having carb problems . the price different is crazy i know, becuase now i ahve maybe 3500 in my sport and it can almost stick with a stock pred.
i' just wanted some opinions and stories from you guys, since this site is the placei have learned basically everything i know abuot quads.
(P.S. - Does anyone know about the JX2 foot pegs? also how hard is it for me to install a clutch kit myself?)
thanks.

I have been where you are a time or two and have always decided to stick with my baby (scram). The power after porting is so much fun and dependable that I get concerned about going with another quad and having to learn about a new quad all over again. They are an absolute blast in the dunes. No shifting, just on the gas and haul ***. Your sig doesn't say anything about porting. If you haven't had porting done you don't know what your missing. The decision is totally up to you but I know where your coming from. I can hang with any quad out there in the trails. In drags it really does hold its own. After riding with people that have Hondas and Yammies they go away with a different view of Polaris. Hope this helps.

No just had the stock head shaved .020. If you go with a race mod and get the rpms up another 1000 then I would definately get the girdle. Having it with a Trail Mod is really good insurance though.

last year when i had my top end redone they bored it over to the point where i could still use my oil pump, im not sure what that would be but im guessing its not that high...maybe .010?
