I had to cause that tiny little vent wasnt letting the pressure out and my bike would always die on me...(also it looks cool) plus i usually run 110-116 octane fuel...

I also put the vent line on the gas cap and plugged the other vent line. If you would like pics IM me on aim at icptwztdkkabk or PM me with your email.

Default Gas Tank Vent

Hi I also was forced to drill out my gas cap and use a larger gauge tube to alleviate the pressure in my gas tank. I did not block off the old factory ( crappy too small ) vent. I now have it plus the gas cap tube I installed myself. Is there a real need to block off the old factory vent tube after installing a gas cap vent tube ?

Default Gas Tank Vent

Hey fellow New Brunswicker, I was haveing vent problems on my Sportsman. The tank would build up pressure and spray gas out of the vent line. I looped it up high in the pod and put an extention on it and ran it down the frame. If that doesn't work I'll put one on the cap and leave the factory one too as more air is better......

Just go down to your local mx shop pick up a gas cap with the vent line on it.
