Default Predator Headers

Hey i was wondering if there is some trick to taking the headers off. I attempted and failed. I want to take off the stock headers to get them ported and re-paint them to a high gloss black or a nice orange heat resistant of course. Thanks

Ported headers????? Anyway, I'd look into getting the header ceramic coated. Do a search for jet hot coating.

You can grind down the interior welds. Kinda porting.

Shouldn't be too much for ceramic coating. Be it jet hot, or another brand. Performance and a chrome look. Win Win. The one time I had powdercoating done, I found the guy at a car show.. Phone book or google I guess.

If I remember correctly, Jet Hot wanted around $70 for coating the Predator header with the Sterling coating. Well worth it IMO. When I had my Harley frame powdercoated, I just looked in the yellow pages for powdercoating and found it there.

to get the headers off your going to have to take the whole exhaust off. Which isnt hard at all. Leave the for nuts on the headers on but take off the muffler and the clamp that holds it to the header. To remove it from the header you have to take a flat head screwdriver and tap it in to the flange. Just enought spread the 2 halves a little. That will losen the muffler from the header and will pull right off. Now you can take the rest of the Header off.
