Thumb Throttle switch on Predator
#1
OK, there is a micro switch connected to the thumb throttle under the cover. When I come to a stop it kills the engine and very hard to start untill I just pull the throttle open.
Disconnected the switch and it starts faster then ever before and runs better. What in the heck does that switch do, and why does it effect the idle and start up.

All Polaris's have a device that is supposed to eliminate stuck throttles. All you have to do is trace your throttle cable back from the thumb and you will find a rubber covered adjuster. take a little of the slack up on the adjuster and your issues will go away

yeah ernie......they do all have them, and every one of them are a pain......My pred did it too, it only does it on certain days too.......like they said, just disconnect it, or trace it back and slack it.....I'm not too worried about my throttle sticking, but if you are, better hook it up and slack it some more.

Bradracer18 you are correct. I disconnected the switch and it runs good. I just purchased an 03 Predator of the show room floor for a very good price. I am very impressed with the power of this quad just for being bone stock (For Now)
