Default should I get a ..................

Should I buy a trail tech speedo or should I buy a fmf tc2 pipe for my sport?

Is the fmf pipe the right pipe for me, I just do trail ridin so I don't need a full race pipe.

Thanx

i would go with a pipe, and one made by HSP, HPD, AAEN, or RCR. FMF pipes arnt a good buy if your getting it for a Polaris

you shoudl get an HPD Trail Pipe through Rick Ritter. Give Rick a call, he will set you up with what you want. You will also have to do some clutch work to get the full effect of the pipe

When I bought my 99 400 4x4 it had a HSP pipe and clutch kit installed in it already. I have never rode a stock scrammy before, but I know with my pipe and clutch kit (brown primary spring) it made a big difference in shifting and speed. I believe it is a "trail" type pipe and I am still running the stock back half on it as well. The main difference I noticed between mine and a stock scrammy (heard a stock one last winter) was sound, with the pipe I noticed mine was alot louder and had a distinct "ting" to it when reving the engine.

The guy originally set the bike up to ice race so he added the pipe/clutch kit and some wheels spacers. I have only down trail riding with it and it seems to work great for that... you hit the throttle and it takes a second and I am in the powerband. Some people do not like HSP becuase they think the quality is not there, but I have never had a problem with my pipe or clutch kit at all and they were friendly over the phone when I asked them about a couple things.
