RAJ 03 Z's were not junk. they changed very little from 03 to 04. I ride with many 03 Z-400's and none of them have ever had a major problem.

Well his is JUNK! He jumped it one time and bent the frame. I have heard alot of bad stuff on the 03. They did make the frame stronger on the 04. I know this for a fact. We talked to alot of guys at Hatfield & McCoys that had the Z.

A buddy of mine has an 03 and an 04. He switched some upgraded parts from the 03 to the 04 and we couldnt believe what a pain it is to work on. Pull the tank to get at the plug? Pull the battery and rear harness to remove the rear plastic? Make sure you get your jetting right the first time cause you wont want to pull that carb again.
