As long as it it formulated for "O" ring chains you are ok. Polaris chain lube is as reasonable as the major lube guys.

I use Honda Chain Lube on my 400ex and my CBR600F4 and it works good...no fling.

I use Maxima chain wax or PJ1 with good results. I had a can of Polaris chain lube in the back of my truck one day. After a heavy rain, the paper lable around the can fell off, you could see where there was a different brand name that was painted over with black paint, and a shiny new Polaris lable was added. You can probably buy it under the original brand name for $1.49 somewhere, but add the new lable, and you can pay $7.99 for it. No thanks.

I use Maxima Chain Wax and PJ1 as well. The Maxima Chain Wax definately sticks better to the chain, the PJ1 flings off a little easier.

My dealer actually gave me a can of Maxim chain wax when I bought my Magnum. I have been using it ever since with no problems.

The Maxima Chain Wax is a great product. I have used it a lot and it probly tripled the chain life on the machines I used it on. Compared to some of the other lubes I have used in the past.

Chopper...I think that quadfather was just referring to "off-brand" chain lubricants that even I have noticed in the "Auto section" in some stores. They are about half of the price of "name brands". I was given a can of Maxima chain lube when I bought a 400ex and it seems to do a good job. The only problem that I have noticed is the chain wax gets all over the top and left side of the swingarm...making cleaning very tough.
