Scrambler mods!!!!
#1
I was just wondering what all some people out there had done to there 500 scrammy's. As far as mods I mean aesthetically and mechanically??? I am in the middle of re assembling my 04'. I had the frame, a-arms, and swingarm powdercoated yellow, the floorboards are powdercoated black. Got black shock covers on the way. Also, all the air scoops, mud flaps, skid plates, cv guards are made out of diamond plate aluminum. Graphics kit on the way. One question what rims are best?? Dont want beadlocks, too much $$$$. Anyone know what a bike like this would be worth??? It is in excellent shape and it is super clean.

See the sig and pictures As for rims, I have been pleased with my ITP's (T-9s on front and regular T-9s on rear). Got them for a great price too

As BBS said, ITP's or Douglas rims are all good. Start dropping money into the motor in my opinion. Go to Rick Ritter(www.rittercycles.com) or HPD(www.hpd-inc.com) and get a 500 mod.......you definately need a pipe, and clutch kit. You also need an aftermarket filter, such as a kandN. If you don't like the idea of the motor, drop it into suspension, and get some new shocks.....such as elkas or works shocks.

Hey BBS, How much did you get the Rims for?
I was talking to the Dealership & Dude told me it was $140 for EACH ITP Rim, Not sure which Model, but he said they wouldn't Bend!!

HPD.....I think they are a lot better of a company, and they do good work. If you aren't really mechanically inclined, you can send your stuff to Rick Ritter too, and get him to get your stuff through HPD and build it for ya. Either way, go with HPD.

NYC, go with the HPD. It makes more power, looks better (with the nickel plating), and cost less. What more could you want. But, if you need a spark arrestor or dont want a full system, then just get the White Bros slip-on. I got my rims (ITP T-9 pros on front and ITP T-9s on rear) and 4 chrome valve stems for $200 SHIPPED (in 4 days). I will PM you address
