Default 99 Scrambler 400 4x4

Hey, I'm new to forums, but I really like the info you all put out. I just bought a 99 scrambler 400 4x4, I want to know if I have to rejet it if I put a top-end pipe and silencer on it? I've been in Iraq for the past 18 months w/ the Marines so I'm kinda out of the ATV mods loop. Can anyone help?

As i said , I'm kinda new at this, right now it has no mods except a K&N airfilter, but as far as pipe and silencer.....possibly a AAEN stage 1 kit or maybe I'll take a look at HPD pipe & silencer...

either one is good..you should get a clutch kit to go with the pipe if you really wanna notice the power difference..

clutch kits are simple to install..who ever you buy your pipe from is who you should buy your clutch kit from..that way your getting the most power from the pipe..

Outstanding!, OK, do you have any personal preferences, fmf, aaen, hpd? Oh,do you know anything about DG exhaust systems? I saw one for sale on ebay for like $125.

sorry, thewayout420 to have you hopping back and forth from thread to thread. One thing I can't stand is that annoying whine of 2-stroke engines who don't have ot have cheap silencers, Dg, AAEN, HPD those silencers don't sound like that do they. I mean on a race track, sure the loud scream is fine, but around the woods, etc.... its just annoying. I've heard of some people puting they stock silencer back on while attached to a AAEN or what not, wouldn't that cut down on the performance?

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Stay away from DG pipes for Polaris they cant be tuned in correctly. On the sound the Aaen has a ting ting sound where the HPD has a loud but deeper sound. But either are great systems but you will need to use the recomended clutch kit and rejet.Get ahold of Rick Ritter at RcR and he can set you up resonably.

hails back to you,i would suggest to buy parts from rcr if you're
looking just for pipe a combo,or if you want more, deal directly
with HPD,it is a little pricey but for serious gains it worth
the extra cash,no doubt.
don't waste your money on fmf or dg.
the noise from the 400 with pipe cannot be avoid, only the stock
unit will keep db down but at performance expand whenever you go,sorry.
