fmf pipe silencer on sportsman 500

fmf pipe silencer on sportsman 500
What do you guys think the pro's and con's of putting a fmf silencer on a 1997 sportsman 500. would the power increase be worth the extra noise. They say it isn't much louder than stock. Should a person re-jet?
