IT REALLY DEPENDS ON THE SKILL LEVEL YOU FELL COMFORTABLE WITH. I HAVE BOTH CLUTCHING AND A SCRAMMY, IF YOUR DOING ALOT OF WOODS RIDING AND CRUSING IN MUD ID GO WITH A SCRAMMY, BUT IF YOUR THE RACING TYPE "GO GETTEM TIGER". I RUN MY SCRAMMY DOWN AT THE DUNES AND IT KEEP UP WITH MOST ANYTHING I LEAD IT THROUGH, I ASO RIDE IN THE COAST RANGE WHERE IM RUNNING TIGHT TURNS AND MUD BOGGIN. MY SCRAMMY 400 HAS ALL THE POWER NEEDED TO ENJOY BOTH ENDS OF THE SPECTRUM. ENJOY AND HOPE THIS HELPS.

practice is where skill comes from and you control the throttle, i'd think it would be.

I would sell the 250(they can be made to be fast, but why work that hard and spend that much).....and get a 400 scrammy/sport.......Any year is good with these, and if you slightly mod them, they go pretty well........a pred is also a good choice, an 03 should be pretty cheap too......they are good powerful quads, and if you get one, you need to take it very slow, and learn how the quad handles and responds

I dont think a predator is a good starting fourwheeler....my first one was a yamaha blaster and that one was fine. Just a few days ago i got the new 2004 troy lee edition predator and im glad i learned about quads on the blaster so i dont tear my new baby doll up..
