First I installed the 3.0 Warn Winch in my '05 700 Sportsman EFI and now the new style front brush guard.
The machine is prewired for the winch, their advertisement says 'installs in minutes', ya, it does, like 120 of them. Be ready for missing parts and have to run down to your local hardware store to supplement their parts.
Tonight I installed the brush guard. For those of you with new '05 machines, ignore step 5 where it says on the 600,700 machines to use the 'rear' hole for the bottom mount on each side.....you need to use the front hole.
Also, missing 6 1/4 x 5/8" NC Carriage Bolts and 6 1/4" flat washers.
Now here is something really interesting. Go to Polaris' website and check out the photo of the brushguard. I blew it up on my computer, they have the thing rigged to look like it is mounted. There are supposed to be 4 mounting holes on the main guard that attachs to the frame pieces that I mounted, but there is only 1 hole. They also don't have the bolts tightened down, there are sitting at about a 30 degree angle jammed in the holes....cracks me up, what kind of bull$hit is that?
Here is the link, save the picture of the machine with the brushguard installed and zoom in:
