Changing Belt

Changing Belt
I bought a 04 Magnum 330 4x4 (first quad)... I love the machine it has been the most fun I've had in a long while. Now to my question... Being new to ATV's and doing most if not all of the maintenance myself. I've follow the owner's manual to the T, but also being new to it I wonder is I will burn out a belt sooner than a vet. I don't beat the machine but I do have fun in the mud and hill climb. So how hard it is to change the belt and what is the steps to doing it? Do I need special tools? I do have a good bit of tools and would be will to buy more (tools are good) Also is there a better belt than others?
Anyways thanks for any help....

Changing Belt
If you use common sense, then your belt should last a long time. Always remember, if your motor is revving and your tires arent spinning, you are burning your belt. Try not to lug it around at very low speeds with a lot of load on the motor. Give it enough gas to keep the belt from slipping but not too much so you lose control. Changing the belt is a piece of cake. All you need to do is remove the clutch cover which requires a 3/8 socket and pry a small clip off. You may also need to unbolt the rear mudflap from thefender to get the cover to clear. Then just squeeze the belt together so that it opens the secondary clutch up. Then you should be able to "walk" the belt off.
