I am looking to get a 4x4 4 wheeler to plow snow and trail ride with. I found a 1999 SP 335 with 1700 miles on it for $4300. Is this a good price for one of these? What problems should I lookout for? I know the 500 has alot more power but the 335 has enough for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Check KBB.com to see what it books for , well I would look for brake pad wear , other than that a test drive should tell you allot. Ytake it for a quick spin, make sure it starts good and stops good no belt slip or any of that. I doubt seriously that any of that will be an issue with a 1999, unless it was beat hard. I have 1300 on my 2000 Sp 500 an it is still as good as the day i drove it off the lot.

snoman, I have a '99 Polaris Sportsman 335, and am very pleased with it. It is a little down on power compared to a 500, but it handles just as well, and is easy to throw around. My quad plows snow excellent, and handles my 60" Moose plow without a problem. I would check the book value on it, but $4300 sounds like a good deal. Go over the whole machine, check all the axle boots, check all the bushings for grease, pull the belt cover/check the belt, check the oil, check the airbox/air filter, and check the front end for play. I don't think you'll have any problems. If the machine is in good shape and has been maintained, I say go for it. Good luck, -Glen Pratt
