Jetting a Predator
#1
my buddy is getting an Aaen Mega Power Pipe and he was wondering if you Predator guys would give him a guess on what his Jetting should be. Brand new motor (just got a new one from warranty), has a UNI filter, and he is putting the pipe on. we aren't much above sea level and definately below a thousand feet. Any help would be greatly appreciated by him and I both. Thank you.
P.S. The jet kit from Aaen is 58 bucks and he would rather just get a few jets and do it that way so it will be cheaper.

first off... i dun like the aaen pipe... i dont know of anyone that has it...
uni drop in or clamp on?
he will probably want to run a 157.5 or 160 if its a drop in... and 2-3 sizes more for a clamp on.

I have a hmf pipe with a k&n clamp on filter on the end of the snorkle. I am at 950 ft above sea level. My jetting is 172.5 main jet and a 50 pilot jet. I did nothing to the needle or the air screw and mine runs great.

He got the aaen pipe because of price, plus he likes the looks. He's got the drop in filter. You don't think he will need a bigger pilot jet also? I know nothing about the predator and I'm just trying to get a rough idea here. Thanks again.

As for the pilot jet it just seemed to add the throttle response that i was looking for. I have a high flow intake system (clamp on) and it just did not seem right without it. In his case i don't think he will need the pilot jet or even that high of a main jet. Hell probable need a 155 to 160 main jet and that would be it.
