You had said previously that you had a set on order. Have you received them yet? If yes, how are they working. The rear pads on my trail boss have went south already. I have aftermarket pads on the way, but the way my wife abuses the brakes, these new brass pads may be the ticket. Inquiring minds want to know!!!

MMM,
I have not received the pads yet, but if you read the testimonials at that website, I get the impression that the brass pads would be the last pads you would purchase for a long time. Just before I ordered, I had bought a pair of Severe Duty pads, and sold the bike to a friend. I told him he could have the brass pads when they came in. Reason being is that even though the pads were ordered for a sp500, and they will fit my 2001 Xplorer 400, the 2001 models are supposed to have a new rotor material along with a new pad material promising 5 times the life. I'm wanting to see if it's true. And, he is a real good friend. The brass pads were only $35, so I consider them a steal of a deal considering that the severe duty pads cost me $52. If you think about it, sintered metal is basically brass, and the severe duty pads just have more brass in them than the stock pads. So, solid brass would make sense to outlast both by far.
