What do I have to do to make it fit and work right? What Main Jet, Pilot Jet and Air Clip position do I need in it for my TrailBlazer with RCR LowEnd Stage 1 Kit? I live and ride at about a 1000FT Above Sea Level. I'll be buying a stock 34MM Carb from my bud jdedik after he gets a 39 for his 400 Scrambler so any help would be appreciated.

Also, What can I expect after putting this Carb on? Will it be a noticable gain? Or not?

Thanks in advance.

I was gonna give my riding buddy my stock 34 mm carb when I get my 39 mm, but the local mechanic said installing a larger carb on the T'Blazer will rob all of its low end.

Even with the clutch kit? Maybe I'll call Rick Ritter and talk to him about it.

hmm... Well from what i know, originally the 250 motor started out with a 38mm carb on it (what i have).. so i'd think its very possible... i don't understand the loss of low end power tho..??

Typically you will lose a little bottom end with a larger carb. But it is not to big a problem on TB. Just ask Mike Chero, he did this mod, along with a UFO, with impressive results.

PAPaul,

It sounds like we are at the same elevation so I'll give you the jetting info.

Stock 34mm slide

#30 pilot jet

6CEY6-3 jet needle

(0-4)169 needle jet

200 main.

This really woke my Trailblazer up but for the best performance, use a UFO. There was NO LOSS in the bottom end. in fact it helps me be able to wheelie the TB from a standing start, even with a 4 tooth smaller back sprocket. With the UFO the jetting specs are as follows:

2.5 UFO (richest)

#15 pilot jet

210 main jet

All other jets are the same. The rubber boots for the motor and the carb airbox junction will stretch, but you must remember to loosen the clamps a little extra wide for it. The carb on a 30mm VM and a 34mm VM have different brass fittings for the choke. Make sure that you have one from the 34mm. I turned mine down on a "poor mans lathe" (drill press/file) and ran a 1/8" NPT die over it to get mine to fit. I don't recomend this to anyone who has access to a 34mm fitting.

Good luck!

Thanks Mike. Just what I was looking for. Did you guys ever come up here to Potter County and ride Susquahanock?

PAPaul,

No, we never made it. I abused myself on the Marienville bike trail instead. We also hit some state trails near home. They were fun, but not as nice as Potter county.
