Default removing shifter and reverse?

It looks tacky(but you can redesign something off of this to make it look better)....but I once had to use a wrench to shift mine, right on the top of the gearbox.......you could make something right there to decrease weight. Also, just tear into the gear box, that is about the only way you are going to understand how it works, and how to make a fix for it. I would take out reverse and neutral(or the componets to get it in).......if that is possible.
lol thats wierd, i always thought it would look cool to take a nice long big wrench(not to big) and cut the end thats goin on the tranny off and weld the right size wrench to it and bend it to work right and bolt it down.

I just didn't want everyone to be like.......uhhh yeah if your from the boonies that might look ok......I think if you used a wrench(or just the box end connected to some light weight rod).....and then had it chromed or powder coated, it might look pretty cool. If anything else it gets the job done, and is light weight.
